Today’s Pills — Privacy Policy
Effective Date: April 2, 2026
The Short Version
Today’s Pills does not collect, store, or transmit your personal data. Your medication data stays on your device. That’s it.
Data We Collect
None.
Today’s Pills stores all data locally on your iPhone. We do not operate servers, databases, or cloud infrastructure that receive your data. Specifically:
- Medication names, schedules, and doses — stored on your device only.
- Adherence history (taken, missed, skipped) — stored on your device only.
- App preferences and settings — stored on your device only.
- No account or login is required. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any other personal identifier.
Data We Do Not Collect
- No health or medication data
- No location data
- No usage analytics or behavioral tracking
- No device identifiers or fingerprinting
- No advertising identifiers
- No contacts, photos, or other device data
- No crash reports transmitted to our servers
Third-Party Services
Apple (StoreKit / App Store)
If you purchase a Pro subscription or lifetime upgrade, Apple processes the transaction. Apple may collect purchase data subject to Apple’s Privacy Policy. We receive only a transaction confirmation — we do not receive your Apple ID, payment method, or billing information.
No other third-party services. We do not use analytics SDKs, advertising networks, crash reporting services, or any other third-party code that collects data.
Widgets and Extensions
Today’s Pills includes home screen and lock screen widgets. These widgets read medication data from a shared local container on your device. No data is transmitted externally.
Notifications
Today’s Pills sends local notifications to remind you of scheduled doses. These notifications are generated entirely on your device. No notification data is sent to our servers or any third party.
Data Export
You may export your medication data as JSON from within the app. This export is generated locally and saved to a location you choose. We do not receive a copy.
Children’s Privacy
Today’s Pills does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children under 13. Since we collect no data at all, there is no children’s data to protect — but we want to be explicit: we comply with COPPA by design.
Health Data Regulations
- HIPAA: Today’s Pills is not a covered entity and does not receive, store, or transmit protected health information (PHI).
- FTC Health Breach Notification Rule: We comply by not collecting health data in the first place. There is no data to breach.
- Washington My Health My Data Act: We do not collect, share, or sell consumer health data.
- GDPR / UK GDPR: We do not process personal data of EU/UK residents. No data controller or processor relationship exists.
Data Retention and Deletion
All data is stored locally on your device. Deleting the app removes all data. We have nothing to delete on our end because we never had it.
Changes to This Policy
If we ever change this policy, we will update this page and the effective date above. If we ever begin collecting data (we have no plans to), we will notify you in the app before any collection begins.
